1. Your Hypervolt charger Records charging energy
  2. Your Hypervolt account Stores the readings
  3. Wattlas Brings energy data and tariff prices together
The arrows show data, not electricity. Your equipment settings stay in Hypervolt.

What does a Hypervolt connection add?

Charging history
See when you charged and how much energy your charger delivered.
Electricity rates
Add your tariff to see the rates that applied. Where supported, Wattlas applies smart-charging rates and booked free-electricity sessions to the relevant periods. Some sessions need to be added manually.
Home energy use
Add compatible equipment to see charging beside solar and battery use.

Wattlas separates car and home energy use in kWh. Grid import costs cover the whole home for each tariff period; they are not a separate EV bill. View a charging day in Wattlas.

What you'll need

Connecting this account requires Wattlas Plus.

  • Your Hypervolt account email and password - the same login as the Hypervolt app
  • A charger ID only if you have more than one Hypervolt on the account - otherwise leave it blank
  • About a minute - nothing to look up, your charger is detected automatically

Connect it in Wattlas

  1. Open Setup → Car charger in Wattlas

Tap the gear icon top-left of the app, then the car icon for the Car charger tab, and pick Hypervolt from the dropdown.

  2. Enter your Hypervolt email and password

This is the exact form you'll see:

    Connect Hypervolt

How this works: sign in with the same email and password you use for the Hypervolt app. Leave the charger ID blank unless you have more than one Hypervolt on your account - it's picked up automatically.

    leave blank to auto-detect
    Test connection Save
  3. Test, then save

Tap Test connection - once it reports a real kWh reading back, Save unlocks. A typo here fails loudly rather than silently saving a broken connection.

  4. Set your charger's position

Choose how your charger is connected and metered. Wattlas uses this to allocate charging to the grid, solar or battery in its energy view. Check with your installer if you are unsure.

    Compare the two charger positions
    Wattlas grid-side charger configuration
Grid-side metering: Wattlas treats the charger as drawing from the grid.
    Wattlas home-circuit charger configuration
Home-circuit metering: Wattlas can allocate charging to solar, battery and grid energy.
Your charging controls stay in Hypervolt. Wattlas reads charging history. It does not send start or stop commands, change schedules or alter charger settings.

Common questions

You can track Hypervolt charging against your electricity tariff without solar. See what Wattlas shows and how solar or battery data can be added later.

Do I need to fill in a charger ID?

Only if you have more than one Hypervolt on your account. With a single charger, leave it blank and Wattlas picks it up automatically.

Can Wattlas control my Hypervolt charger?

No. Wattlas only ever reads from your Hypervolt account - it can't change a schedule, start or stop a session, or touch any setting. That stays in the Hypervolt app.
