Coverage

Coverage

Wattlas covers grid capacity region by region, not all at once. Here is what is live today, and what comes next.

Current live focus

The current live region is Brainport: Eindhoven, Helmond and the surrounding service areas in Noord-Brabant. This is the only region with full Wattlas coverage today.

Why Brainport first

Brainport combines high congestion pain with strong commercial relevance: a dense concentration of site-selection, project development and investment activity running directly into grid capacity constraints. That combination makes it a good first test region, one where enough real decisions depend on the data to prove whether the format works. Starting narrow is a deliberate quality choice, not a limitation of the product.

What coverage means

Coverage is not just a colored map. For Wattlas, coverage means source-backed status per area and station, a commercial interpretation of what that status means for a decision, an explicit confidence level, and updates over time so change is visible as it happens, not only the current snapshot.

What comes next

New regions are added only once source quality is strong enough to meet the same bar as Brainport. The current path is the rest of the Netherlands first, then regional Germany and Belgium. No date is promised for any of these: they follow founding-access validation, not a fixed roadmap.
